New CMS background paper: Deterrence in Cyberspace

The influence of the increasing Cyber Threat on national security creates new strategic and political dilemmas. The CMS background paper “Afskrækkelse i cyberspace - muligheder og udfordringer” explores the options and challenges for deterrence in cyberspace by examining the traditional concept of deterrence and the nature and functions of cyberspace. Based on the findings, the background paper discusses whether deterrence can be applied to cyberspace.
