New background paper: Disruptive military technologies
Technological superiority has long been the foundation for American military dominance. Now, however, technological developments are causing concern in the US defence. Artificial intelligence, quantum computing, hypersonic propulsion, and synthetic technology may give states such as China and Russia the technological lead the is needed to undermine the military power of the United States, consequentially pushing the balance of power in international politics.
The background paper 'Disruptive Military Technologies' provides an insight into the current technological base for Western dominance, and outlines the US' plans to maintain it. In addition, senior researcher at CMS, Gary Schaub Jr., highlights four new technologies whose military use can alter the world order we know today. Finally, the paper discusses what consequences such changes may have for Denmark.
