Workshop on the NATO Strategic Concept: Thoughts and reflections from Denmark, The Netherlands and Norway – with CMS as co-host

NATOs Strategic Concept is about to be revised and to inspire the upcoming process, CMS co-hosted an online workshop on May 26 titled: “Workshop on the NATO Strategic Concept: Thoughts and reflections from Denmark, The Netherlands and Norway”. Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands participated in the workshop.

During the workshop, Danish, Dutch and Norwegian perspectives on the NATO strategic concept were discussed in thematic sessions about what threats and challenges the new concept should address, what new, broader strategic developments should it take into account and what tasks and responsibilities – regional and global - would be important for NATO in the future.

The workshop was organized in cooperation with Clingendael (Netherlands Institute for International Relations) and NUPI (Norwegian Institute of International Affairs).
