New report: Special Operations and International Terrorism
International terrorism constitutes a global strategic threat. The effort to combat terrorism must not only address the root causes behind the emergence of terrorism but also be able to respond to the current threat. In this effort special operations and special operations forces (SOF) have an important role.
This is the background for the new CMS report “Special Operations and International Terrorism - Possible Application and Implications” which analyses the use of special operations and SOF, their capabilities and the challenges that may arise as a consequence of their use.
The report is written by Military Analyst Mark Winther and Research Assistant Marc Schack. The report is only available in Danish, but includes an English abstract, which can be accessed here.
