New CMS Report: A Wake-up Call for a European Security Provider?
Russia's war against Ukraine has shed new light on the EU's security and defence policy and European security architecture. As result of the war on the European continent, Denmark has chosen to abolish its defence opt-out and is now fully participating in the EU's Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP).
In the new CMS report "A Wake-up Call for a European Security Provider?" postdoc Clemens Binder examines the EU's efforts to strengthen its security and defence policy through three themes: 1) EU autonomy, 2) the global dimension of the CSDP, and 3) the different positions of member states, including Denmark, on security and defence and challenges in EU decision-making on CSDP.
The report is published in cooperation with Djøf Publishing.
