Kristian Søby Kristensen Interim Director at CMS

Deputy Director, Senior Researcher Kristian Søby Kristensen is appointed Interim Director at the Centre for Military Studies (CMS) from 1 March. He replaces Henrik Breitenbauch, who has taken up the position as Dean at the Royal Danish Defence College.

Kristian has been Deputy Director at CMS since 1 July, 2015. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Department of Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. He has experience with research as well as research based information and innovation for public authorities within the field of defence and security policy from CMS and previous employments at the Danish Institute for Military Studies, and the Danish Institute for International Studies.

Kristian Søby Kristensen will be Interim Director until a permanent Director is employed through an open application process.
