Cornelia Baciu contributes to working paper published by the German Institute for International and Security Studies

In December, the German Institute for International and Security Affairs published a working paper under the headline “Euro-Atlantic Concerns regarding a USA »Sole Purpose« Policy.”

The U.S. Administration is currently conducting a “Nuclear Posture Review,” which is to be finalized by early 2022. In that connection, the German Institute for International and Security Studies asked leading experts from countries of the Euro-Atlantic bloc how their countries perceive a potential American "non-first use"- or "sole purpose"-declaration. What is the reasoning behind their country's position, and what is a likely reaction to such a declaration?

Cornelia Baciu, researcher at the Centre for Military Studies, has authored the Danish contribution to the working paper.
