Baltic Geopolitics: CMS joins Centre for Geopolitics of Cambridge University in New International Network
This January, Cambridge University’s Centre for Geopolitics is launching an ambitious new research programme on Baltic Geopolitics with the Centre for Military Studies as its Danish partner in a new Baltic Geopolitics Network. The programme aims increase our understanding of the geopolitics of the Baltic Sea area and the UK's role in the region. The Baltic Geopolitics Network connects scholars from leading universities and research institutes from across the UK and the Baltic area to build and disseminate knowledge on the international history and politics of the greater Baltic Sea area.
As part of the launch, on January 20, the Centre for Geopolitics hosts a web seminar with the participation of HE Kersti Kaljulaid, President of the Republic of Estonia; the Rt Hon Charles Clarke, Former Home Secretary; Professor John Bew, Adviser on Foreign Policy to the Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP, Prime Minister; as well as CMS’s Henrik Breitenbauch and others.
