CMS Seminar: Security Challenges in the Baltic Sea Region

The Baltic Sea Region is increasingly emerging as a focal point in the shifting security dynamics between Russia and the West. As both a strategic maritime corridor and an essential economic and infrastructural lifeline, the Baltic Sea remains central to the security of Russia as well as the Western littoral states.

This CMS Seminar will bring together leading scholars and practitioners from the Baltic Sea Region to discuss the evolving security challenges in the region, how the multifaceted threat posed by Russia can be addressed and what the opportunities are for strengthening the political and military cooperation among the Western states in the region to enhance resilience and strategic coordination. The panel will include:
