Maritime Security in Africa – Beyond Piracy
Piracy, armed robbery, human trafficking and other forms of serious maritime criminal activity continue to constitute a grave challenge to the global shipping industry. Concurrently the development and stability in the neighbouring countries to e.g. the Horn of Africa is affected by these illegal activities.
To address and approach this critical topic and review the possible future challenges to maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea and the Horn of Africa, Centre for Military Studies is co-hosting a joint conference on maritime security in Africa during the Danish Maritime Days 2018.
The conference is organised in cooperation with Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Danish Shipping, with support from Clipper Group.
