Joint CMS and FAK Seminar: Changing security dynamics in the North Atlantic and Arctic

The United States has become more worried about Russian and Chinese activities in the North Atlantic and Arctic. A strengthened military presence combined with a less multilaterally-inclined US administration heralds a change in North Atlantic and Arctic security. Beyond President Trump’s offer to buy Greenland, this has significant consequences for regional alliance dynamics, for Danish foreign and security policy, and for relations between Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands.

To discuss these issues, CMS and the Royal Danish Defence College (FAK) have the distinct pleasure to invite you to a seminar with:

Rachel Ellehuus (Center for Strategic and International Studies, Washington D.C.)

Per Erik Solli (Nord University, Bodø)

Jon Rahbek-Clemmensen (FAK, Copenhagen)

Moderator:

Kristian Søby Kristensen (Centre for Military Studies, Copenhagen)
