Russian Policy in the Arctic after the Ukraine Crisis

Centre for Military Studies has published the report "Russian Policy in the Arctic after the Ukraine Crisis". The report has previously been published in a Danish-language version. Russia is an actor of central importance in the Arctic. Consequently the development of Russia's policy is of paramount importance to the Danish Realm and the conditions governing Danish foreign and security policy. 

The report analyze whether the Ukraine Crisis and the deteriorating relationship between the West and Russia has had en impact on Russia's polices in the Arctic. Finally the report outlines a number of principles that may be used as a starting point for developing initiatives with witch Danish diplomacy can contribute to maintaining the Arctic as a stable geopolitical region.
